Vacation Bible School (VBS) is a fun-filled program many churches offer, usually during the summer (“vacation”) months, to connect with the children and families in their communities.
The target audience is generally preschoolers and kids K-6th. Each VBS program has its own theme (e.g. beach, space, hiking, etc.) that children can explore. A typical VBS usually includes music, games, snacks, crafts, skits, and, of course, Bible lessons.
There is always a connection between God and the theme, allowing kids to discover God in a creative way.
Due to the quarantine orders put in place by the Governor of California in response to the effects of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), this year’s VBS will be held online via ZOOM instead of in person at the church building.
ヴァケーションバイブルスクール（VBS)とは何でしょうか？
ヴァケーションバイブルスクールは、通常夏休み（ヴァケーション）の間に多くの地域教会で実施される子供たちとそれぞれの家庭を結びつける楽しいこと満載のプログラムです。
ヴァケーションバイブルスクールの対象年齢はプリスクール、幼稚園から六年生までです。それぞれのヴァケーションバイブルスクールのプログラムには、子供たちが楽しめるようなテーマが設定されます。（例：ビーチ、宇宙、ハイキング、等々）ヴァケーションバイブルスクールのプログラムは、音楽、ゲーム、スナック、クラフト、スキット、そしてもちろん聖書の学びと盛り沢山です。
そのテーマはいつも神さまのことと繋がっていて、子供たちがクリエィティブな活動の中で神さまを発見していけるように工夫されています。
現在の新型コロナの状況により、カリフォルニア州知事によって自宅待機が求められていますので
本年度のヴァケーションバイブルスクール（VBS ）は、教会での実施に代わってズームを通しての
オンラインでの実施となります。
