Ke Aloha O Iesū Hula Ministry

What does “Ke Aloha O Iesū” mean? “Ke Aloha O Iesū” is Hawaiian for ”The Love of Jesus.” We dance hula to give thanks to God, and to share the love that we receive from God to others.

Leader - Keiko Keanuhea Scott
Leadership Team "Alaka‘i i" - Yunike Kaʻikeʻāpona Honda, Mika Okura, Kaori Machida

Free Seasonal Sessions:

Christmas Session from October to December

Community Luncheon

(Bilingual)

Every first Wednesday of the month we sponsor a special lunch to provide a place for good food and fellowship for the general Japanese community in San Diego, with a special emphasis in reaching out to the seniors.  Our goal is to establish familiarity and trust relationships with the people who attend the luncheon, so that we can have greater opportunities of sharing the love of Christ with these people.

We are always looking for helping hands to prepare the luncheons.  Please contact us if you feel God is telling you to serve in this ministry.

Men's Prayer Breakfast

(English Only)

See to it that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deception, according to the tradition of men, according to the elementary principles of the world, rather than according to Christ. (Colossians 2:8)

Men from both the English and Japanese speaking departments gather monthly for prayer, breakfast and fellowship.  The goal is to study the word of God and encourage one another as Christian brothers.

When:  2nd Saturday of the month at 9am.

Where:  Church Location (Issei Hall)

Missions

"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” (Matthew 28:19-20)

SDJCC is actively involved and supports short and long term missions work locally and around the world.  We are closely united with JEMS (Japanese Evangelical Missionary Society) and work with them often to send teams abroad.

For more information about how you can be a part of missions, please contact the church or JEMS.
