『心からの感謝』本多一米師
We Owe a Debt of Gratitude by Pastor Ichibei Honda
I really appreciate the word meanings that are found in the Japanese kanji characters. Gratitude in Japanese is the word “Kansha・感謝”. It is made up of two kanji characters: kan・感 (feel) and sha・謝 (apologize). In English we use a phrase “to owe a debt of gratitude”, and this is the essence of the word Kansha・感謝. And in reality, we do owe a great debt of gratitude to God for His innumerable blessings He has poured out upon each of us. And the greatest blessing He has provided for us is eternal life through the sending of His Son Jesus Christ.
私は、日本語の漢字に込められた語義をとても大切にしています。Gratitudeを意味する日本語の字は「感謝」です。この字は「感（感じる）」と「謝（謝る）」という二つの漢字からできています。英語では「恩に着る」と言いますが、これが「感謝」という言葉の本質です。そして実際、私達は、神が私達一人ひとりに注いでくださった数え切れないほどの祝福に対して、大きな恩義を感じているのです。そして、神が与えてくださった最大の祝福は御子イエス・キリストが私達の元に送られたことによる永遠のいのちであります。
