“Thomas: From Bold Pessimism to Sure Faith”

Starting with this Sunday, we will be returning back to our message series, “Learning from Others, How to Live with God”. For this message, we will look at Thomas, who was one of Jesus’ twelve apostles, and learn of how his natural tendency to be pessimistic was changed to having sure faith in Jesus. Thomas boldly asked Jesus to answer the questions that troubled him when he was overwhelmed with fearful thoughts. May we learn to do so as well, so that like Thomas, we too may have sure faith in Jesus to live out our God-given calling for our lives.
この日曜日から、メッセージシリーズ「他者から学ぶ、神と共に生きる方法」に戻ります。このメッセージでは、イエス様の十二使徒の一人であるトマスについて見ていきます。そして、彼の生まれつきの悲観的な傾向が、イエス様への確かな信仰へと変えられた経緯を学びます。トマスは恐れに押しつぶされそうになった時、自分を悩ませていた疑問に答えてほしいと、大胆にイエス様に尋ねました。私たちもまたそのようにすることを学び、トマスと同じように、イエス様への確かな信仰を持ち、神様から与えられた人生の召命を生き抜くようにしましょう。
