The Gospel According to Luke: The Cost and Joy of Being Jesus' Witnesses Part I

Date: Sunday, May 3, 2020

Series Description:

The book called Luke in the Bible, was written by a Gentile believer named Luke, who was a close associate of the Apostle Paul. He set out to carefully investigate the truth concerning Jesus Christ, using the eyewitness accounts of those who were with and knew Jesus and His ministry. His intent in writing this Gospel was so that his readers would know the truth regarding Jesus and what they have been taught concerning Him. It is our hope in studying this Gospel, that we too would better understand the truth concerning Jesus, so that we may better know Him and make Him known to others.

Sermon Description:

We know reading from Jesus' ministry with His disciples, that in reality He was training and preparing them all along to be His witnesses. Jesus said, "The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore beseech the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest" Let us pray for more laborers for the harvest field, and go out into the harvest field ourselves - not relying on our own resources, but trusting God in proclaiming His love and pointing others to His Kingdom. The message is from Luke 10:1-16
