New Years Joint Worship Service: Now is the Time to Sit and Think

Date: Sunday, January 3, 2020

Sermon Description:

For which one of you, when he wants to build a tower, does not first sit down and calculate the cost, to see if he has enough to complete it? Otherwise, when he has laid a foundation and is not able to finish, all who are watching it will begin to ridicule him, saying, ‘This person began to build, and was not able to finish!’ Or what king, when he sets out to meet another king in battle, will not first sit down and consider whether he is strong enough with ten thousand men to face the one coming against him with twenty thousand? (Luke 14:28-31)

In our New Years Eve Joint Worship Service, Pastor Okura speaks about the importance of reflecting on the year, seeing the cost of what has transpired so far, and preparing ourselves better for that which is ahead. He encourages us all to observe and pray about what we can do to help others. Moreover, he calls us to immerse ourselves in reading God's Word that we may focus our attention on what the Lord calls us to do.
