Series Description:
The book called Luke in the Bible, was written by a Gentile believer named Luke, who was a close associate of the Apostle Paul. He set out to carefully investigate the truth concerning Jesus Christ, using the eyewitness accounts of those who were with and knew Jesus and His ministry. His intent in writing this Gospel was so that his readers would know the truth regarding Jesus and what they have been taught concerning Him. It is our hope in studying this Gospel, that we too would better understand the truth concerning Jesus, so that we may better know Him and make Him known to others.
Sermon Description:
Today, we will again be able to consider the extent of Jesus’ authority over all things including the circumstances of our lives. We as a church have had our fair share of health-related concerns and dealing with the death of loved ones. Today’s passage of Scripture shows Jesus’ power and calm in the midst of similar circumstances that people faced in His day. Hopefully, we will see for ourselves Jesus’ authority over circumstances we all face in our everyday lives. Nothing escapes Jesus’ notice, and He truly does care for us and our needs. Thus, we can be thankful to God for His goodness to us!
