The Gospel According to Luke: The Healing of the Paralytic

Date: Sunday, August 4, 2019

Series Description:

The book called Luke in the Bible, was written by a Gentile believer named Luke, who was a close associate of the Apostle Paul. He set out to carefully investigate the truth concerning Jesus Christ, using the eyewitness accounts of those who were with and knew Jesus and His ministry. His intent in writing this Gospel was so that his readers would know the truth regarding Jesus and what they have been taught concerning Him. It is our hope in studying this Gospel, that we too would better understand the truth concerning Jesus, so that we may better know Him and make Him known to others.

Sermon Description:

This morning, we are privileged to have Greg Newell give the message in our worship service. Greg and his wife Janice have been regularly attending our church for the past couple of years. Greg has pastoral ministry experience in having been a pastor for 6 years at a church in Avalon on Catalina Island. Greg and Janice have a passion to share God’s love and truth with people, and we are blessed to have them be a part of our church family. Greg will continue our study of Luke by teaching on the healing of the paralytic (Luke 5:17-26).
