Sermon Description:
The Passover began on the evening of the 14th day of Nisan according to the Jewish calendar. What is known as Jesus' Triumphal Entry in to Jerusalem took place on the 10th day of Nisan, which according to our calendar would be on a Sunday (what we celebrate as Palm Sunday). In today's Scripture passage, we see that Jesus was clearly offering Himself as the Passover Lamb of God, especially as we look at Jesus' interactions with and instructions to those who were following Him. Jesus did not let the crowd nor His enemies affect Him and the purpose for which He had come into this world. He talked of the necessity of His death, and its impact upon all who place their trust in Him and follow Him.
