Series Description: All authority is given to Jesus. He is our Lord. The Book of Hebrews goes into detail regarding Jesus' superiority over all things. HE is greater than all, and we need to affirm and live out this reality as His disciples.
Sermon Description: How do you respond to warnings in your life? What kind of warnings have you encountered? What did you do in these situations? In the second chapter of Hebrew, we begin with a warning; first of five warnings to be exact, that are given in the Book of Hebrews. Chapter 2 begins with the words, 'For this reason,' or therefore, pointing to what was previously written up until that point. Chapter 1 focused on the fact that Jesus was greater than the angels. Thus, the readers of this letter were to pay much closer attention to what they have heard, specifically regarding Jesus Christ. The specific exhortation or warning was for them to not drift away from following Jesus and His teachings, even in the midst of their severe persecution.
