As we continue to grow in our faith, love, and hope in Jesus Christ, and as persecution and opposition to us mounts in the world, we are to continue to stand firm upon God's Word and persevere in our faith.
Sermon Description: Just like the first letter written to the church of the Thessalonians, the Apostle Paul, Silas and Timothy, are the authors of this second letter as well. If 'excel still more' was the exhortation to the Thessalonian believers in the first letter, 'stand firm' seems to be the exhortation in this second letter, especially considering the persecutions and uncertainties they were facing as a church living in a hostile environment.
