“Martha: Learning to Listen to Jesus”

In the Bible, we find three siblings, Martha, Mary, and Lazarus, that had a special relationship with Jesus. We find three occasions of Jesus visiting with them recorded in the Gospels. Of the three, Mary is probably remembered the most for her loving act of anointing Jesus’ feet with very costly perfume just before He was to go to die on the cross. Lazarus is remembered for being the one that Jesus resurrected from the dead. However, for this message, we will focus on Martha and how she learned to listen to Jesus and put her trust in Him as her Savior and Lord.
聖書には、マルタ、マリヤ、ラザロという三人の兄弟姉妹が登場し、彼らはイエス様と特別な関係を持っていました。福音書には、イエス様が彼らを訪ねた記録が三度記されています。三人のうち、おそらく最も記憶されているのはマリヤであります。彼女はイエス様が十字架にかけられて死ぬ直前に、高価な香油をイエス様の足にぬるという愛に満ちた行為を行ったのです。ラザロは、イエス様によって死からよみがえらされた人物として記憶されています。しかし、このメッセージでは、マルタに焦点を当て、彼女がどのようにイエス様の声に耳を傾け、救い主であり主であるイエス様に信頼を置くことを学んだかに注目します。
