“Jeremiah: Blessed Are Those Who Mourn”

In this message, we will look at the prophet Jeremiah who is known as the weeping prophet. He grieved over the sinful and wicked state of his people and the impending judgment the nation’s sins had provoked. Jeremiah also revealed his own understanding of the hope that we can always have in God. And it was because of this hope in God and the comfort that He provides, that Jeremiah was able to keep proclaiming God’s words even as he wept. Let us learn from him the blessing of receiving God’s comfort as we mourn over our own sinful state and the fallen world that we live in. Let us remember that God is the God of all comfort (Matthew 5:4; 2 Corinthians 1:3-4).
このメッセージでは、泣く預言者として知られる預言者エレミヤを取り上げます。彼は、民の罪深い邪悪な状態と、国の罪が引き起こした差し迫った裁きを嘆き悲しんだのです。エレミヤはまた、私達が常に神様に抱くことのできる希望について、彼自身の理解を明らかにしました。そして、エレミヤが涙を流しながらも神の御言葉を宣べ伝え続けることができたのは、神様への希望と神様が与えてくださる慰めのおかげでした。彼から、私たち自身の罪深い状態や私たちの住む堕落した世界を嘆き悲しみながら、神の慰めを受けることの幸いを学びましょう。神様は、慰めに満ちたる神であることを思い起こしましょう（マタイ５章４節、第二コリント１章３節—４節）。
