Join us on our annual clam dig for a fun afternoon of clamming and hanging out together at the beautiful Silver Strand Beach. Parking at the beach is $10 per car, so if you would like to carpool, please be at the church around 11:30 AM and ask for Pastor Okura who is organizing the outing.
For those who want to rake up some clams as opposed to just playing in the surf, please bring your own rake and dress with the intention of getting quite wet. If you are planning to hunt for clams and are over 16 years old, you will need to purchase a one-day sport fishing license and bring the printout with you; permits are $15.12 per permit and can be purchased the same day online through the California Department of Fish and Wildlife and printed out.
After all the clams are brought in, everyone will make and eat clam chowder together. We hope to see you there! In the event of rain, this outing will be rescheduled.
