The Gospel According to Luke: True Rest in Jesus

Date: Sunday, June 28, 2020

Series Description:

The book called Luke in the Bible, was written by a Gentile believer named Luke, who was a close associate of the Apostle Paul. He set out to carefully investigate the truth concerning Jesus Christ, using the eyewitness accounts of those who were with and knew Jesus and His ministry. His intent in writing this Gospel was so that his readers would know the truth regarding Jesus and what they have been taught concerning Him. It is our hope in studying this Gospel, that we too would better understand the truth concerning Jesus, so that we may better know Him and make Him known to others.

Sermon Description:

We learned from Martha and Mary's story the importance of making it a priority in our lives. (the message was June 14, 2020) We should take the time to pray and be in God's word. We look at Jesus instruction to his disciples concerning prayer. Jesus never taught His disciples how to preach only how to pray. Jesus did not speak much of what was needed to preach well, but much of praying well. To know how to speak to God is more important than knowing how to speak to man. They were to approach God as their Father. Today's message is from Luke 11:1-13
