The Joy That Comes Through Waiting by Pastor Ichibei Honda
I don’t know about you, but I find myself getting more and more impatient these days. I find it hard to wait. I send a text message and get concerned if I don’t get a response back right away. I order things online, and expect to get it within a day or two, or maybe even on that day. So, I have become accustomed to not waiting. I have learned to become impatient. Advent is a time of waiting. It is a time of waiting expectantly. It is a time of waiting expectantly for the coming of the Christ. Thus, I want to talk about “The Joy That Comes Through Waiting”.
皆さんはどうなのか分かりませんが、私は最近、自分はどんどんせっかちになっているなあと思います。待つことが苦手なのです。テキストメッセージを送ってもすぐに返信が来ないと不安になります。オンラインで物を注文すると、一日か二日、あるいはその日のうちに届くことを期待しています。すなわち、私は待たないことに慣れたのです。 せっかちになることを学んでしまったのです。アドベントは待つ時です。 期待に胸を膨らませて待つ時です。キリストの到来を期待して待つ時です。というわけで、「待つことで得られる喜び」についてお話ししたいと思います。
