『イエスと共に前進する』本多一米師
"Moving Forward with Jesus" by Pastor Ichibei Honda
“These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage;
I have overcome the world.”
(John 16:33)
This verse was shared last Sunday by Pastor Okura. Of course, these words are spoken by Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord. Jesus tells us that in Him we may have peace. Jesus also tells us that in this world we have tribulation. Yet, in the midst of such a world, Jesus tells us to “take courage”. In the Old Testament, Joshua received a similar exhortation from God. He needed some encouragement to move forward after Moses' death, so God exhorted him three times to “Be strong and courageous”. In this message, we will look at three things God told Joshua to remember as he was to be strong and courageous in leading the Israelites into the Promised Land. Let us remember these things as well, so that we can move forward with Jesus this year.
「これらのことをあなたがたに話したのは、わたしにあって平安を得るためである。あなたがたは、この世ではなやみがある。しかし、勇気を出しなさい。わたしはすでに世に勝っている」。（ヨハネの福音書１６章３３節）
この御言葉は、先週の日曜日、大倉牧師によって語られました。もちろん、この言葉は私達の救い主であり、主であるイエス・キリストによって語られています。イエス様は、彼にあって平安を得ることができると教えておられます。イエス様はまた、この世には苦難があるとも語っています。されど、そのような世の中で、イエス様は私達に「勇気を出しなさい」と言われます。旧約聖書では、ヨシュアも神様から同じような励ましを受けました。モーセの死後、さらに前進するためには神様からの励ましが必要でした。ですから、神様はヨシュアに三回、「強く、また雄々しくあれ。」とと励ましを与えます。このメッセージでは、イスラエルの民を約束の地に導くために強く勇気を持つようにと、神様がヨシュアに告げられた３つの事柄を紹介します。今年、イエス様と共に前進できるように、これらのことを覚えましょう。
