It has been over 7 months since the great earthquake / tsunami/nuclear disaster. Most of the people who were living in the evacuation centers have moved to temporary housing areas now. Continue reading the update here.

June 29, 2011 The photo was taken last week in Ishinomaki with a local family and a team from Tokyo. I have gotten to know this family quite well, who suffered from Tsunami tremendously. I believe they are a key family in this neighborhood.Click here to read the full update from Yurika.

June 12, 2011 Hello from Tohoku, Japan! Last two days I joined a team to do some work in Ishinomaki, one of the hardest hit areas by Tsunami. Devastation was still there: most of debris including tons of cars has been left untouched since March 11. Click here to read the rest of Yurika's update.
Our church was founded as an outreach to Japanese speaking farmers in San Diego County over 70 years ago. SDJCC now has English and Japanese speaking departments.
We believe God has given us a mission to reach all people, with special resources to reach Japanese speaking and Asian American families. We want to include anyone who desires a Christian experience flavored by our unique bi-cultural background. We invite you to participate in our activities.
